Medic First Aid CarePlus is an adult CPR and AED program designed for persons who are occupationally required or desire to have CPR and AED knowledge and skills.

Who Should Attend

Adult residential care personnel, personal trainers, and emergency response teams in business and industry including community responders, workplace responders, firefighters and police officers.

Course Outline

Course Topics: Respiratory and circulatory systems, sudden cardiac arrest and early defibrillation,  chain of survival, CPR and AED provider, legal considerations, recognizing an emergency, personal safety, emergency medical services (EMS), chest compressions, rescue breaths, primary assessment - unresponsive person, unresponsive and breathing - recovery position, unresponsive and not breathing - CPR, automated external defibrillators (AEDs), basic AED operation, choking, emotional considerations.

Outcomes

Successful course completion requires attendance of entire course length and all students must perform required skills competently without assistance. Student who successfully complete the course will receive a certification card valid for two years.
