The University of Texas at Austin Health and Safety Training Center (HSTC) is proud to share that our Senior Trainer Supervisor, Garland Moffett, was selected as the 29th recipient of the Ival van Horne Award. Moffett was presented the prestigious award at the National Holmes Mining Safety and Health Conference on July 1, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas.
Moffett was honored for his years of service and dedication to mining safety training.
The National Holmes Mining Safety and Health Conference is the flagship annual event of the Joseph A. Holmes Safety Association that is dedicated to continually improving miner's safety and health.
HSTC is part of Texas Engineering Executive Education (TxEEE), which serves as the professional development and continuing education unit of the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas.
